Aims and Scope (from publisher): Journal of Applied Sports Science (JASS) is the official peer-reviewed journal issued by the Faculty of Physical Education-Abu Qir, Alexandria University, Egypt. The journal publishes original research in sports science in 4 issues per year (MAR, JUN, SEP and DEC).The Journal of Applied Sports Science was first launched in 2011 under the title "Theories and Applications, the International Edition", (2011-2014).

Journal of Applied Sports Science publishes research in the art and science of sports and human movement that contributes significantly to the knowledge base of the field. The journal publishes articles in the area of biomechanics, exercise physiology, exercise psychology, training science, sport nutrition, sport management and recreation, etc The goals of JASS are to provide a scholarly outlet for knowledge that: (a) contributes to the study of sports science and human movement; (b) impacts theory and practice regarding sports science and human movement; (c) stimulates research about sports and human movement; and (d) provides theoretical reviews and tutorials related to the study of sports science and human movement.
