Aims and Scope (from publisher): The Faculty Reviews journal is published by Faculty Opinions and contains both review articles and Landmark evaluations.

Our reviews aim to cover the most recent advances and emerging concepts in biology and medicine from the last 1-3 years.

Landmark evaluations reflect a new level of distinction, added to the article recommendation service provided by Faculty Opinions as a top layer in which the most outstanding papers, selected by special Advisory Boards, are formally evaluated by a panel of authorities in the field, who then publish a short, structured consensus evaluation of the paper. This offers a more systematic and transparent way to evaluate the importance of published research that is in the hands of scientists, providing a much-needed alternative to journal impact factor and journal prestige.
