Abstract

The Ohio House of Representatives passed H.B. 686 on May 12 to amend the existing felonious assault law, R.C. 2903.11. H.B. 686 includes people who knowingly have sex or share needles without disclosing their HIV status to their partner. The bill also states that having sex with a person under the age of eighteen is a felonious assault, regardless of HIV status. The bill awaits approval by the Senate.
