Abstract

In order to discuss disaster degree and hazard risk of perilous rock on road slope, a numerical analysis method was used to calculate full motion trace of the perilous rockfall along road slope. According to gradient of side slope, damping coefficient between rockfall and mountain slope, and rock speed, Damping and Rebounding Oscillation Method is proposed as an analysis method of rockfall motion trace to delve into motion characteristics, direction, and rotational angle speed of rockfall. The rockfall was regarded as a polyhedral, non-particle rigid body, and its motion formula was set up with the revolution motion of rock rigidity. As an example of 2-D numerical analysis, the rockfall motion trace, angular velocity, and jumping height in horizontal and vertical directions are defined, providing necessary calculation data for engineering measures of disaster prevention and mitigation.
