Abstract

A deep, steel sheet piled, figure-eight cofferdam with circular steel wales was installed as a temporary substructure during the construction of the City of Ottawa Pollution Control Centre Project. A program of strain monitoring was developed and carried out and the results, including inferred soil pressures, are presented.

Une profonde, feuille en acier pillée, figurant huit batardeaux avec acier de balaine circulair a été placée come soubâtiment temporaire pendant la construction du projet de Pollution Control Centre de la Ville d'Ottawa. Un programme enregistrant le strain a été développé et achevé et les resultats indiquant l'apparence des pressions du sol sont présentés.
