Abstract

A novel way of expressing burning intensity has been derived from burning rate data by varying ambient oxygen and applying additional heat flux to the burning samples. The objective of this study was to develop a laboratory-scale test to evaluate the flammability components of plastics, so that the evaluations can be used to determine the fire hazard and corresponding protection requirements of plastic products in full-scale fires.
