Abstract

High speed side impact tests were conducted on a light duty truck, a van, and a bus. Striking vehicles were automobiles for which an extensive database of frontal barrier impacts were available for comparison. Test results are presented in tables. Results include location of damage, crush width, target vehicle stiffness based on contact plus induced damage, and target vehicle stiffness based on contact damage only.
