Abstract

Continual measures must positively influence the misconduct of a minority of drivers, and the unconditional necessity of regulations must be accepted. After a general view is presented of the accident statistics of the last 25 yr, it is stated that the traffic accident cause, 'alcohol influence', is indeed included in the relative improvement in traffic safety, but the gain of safety here has not increased in the same proportion as in other spheres.
