Abstract

The author welcomes the proposal of the League against Alcohol in Traffic to reduce the promille fixed by law and jurisdiction to one value valid for all cases of about 0.6 (per mille). He remarks that with respect to the danger of even the smallest quantities of alcohol many countries already have correspondingly arranged their traffic laws. It is doubted whether it is necessary or at least suitable to leave those with values under 0.6(per mille) free of sanctions. Problems considered include the question of drawing up the law text as well as the eventual consequences (driving inhibition or withdrawing of the driving license).
