Abstract

In contradiction to the opinion held by Kunkel (Blutalkohol 13, 1976, 395-408) it is not possible to transfer the rate of recidivism concerning drivers, driving while under the influence of alcohol, found out in the Netherlands by Buikhuisen, to the Federal Republic of Germany. This follows from theoretical considerations as well as from empirical investigations on German material. It is further revealed that the rate of recidivism varies with the respective samples; measures against driving within influence of alcohol forming an influencing factor must not be omitted in this context.
