Abstract

During the course of experiments with drinking the persons experimented upon were questioned about their degree of inebriation. Subjective personal assessment as to extent of inebriation expression itself as minimisation and denial of the loss of function as present in reality. The ability for critical self examination is clearly reduced under the influence of alcohol. Juridical intepretation demands critical self evaluation before driving; but this must often be viewed as unrealizable from a medical standpoint, due to the substantial reduction of judgement owing to the influence of alcohol. This is always the case as long as blood alcohol values over 0 g% occur.
