Abstract

The purpose of the standard described is to provide a guide for the preparation of purchase specifications for pedestrian signal heads. This standard represents the minimum requirements for the equipment described and is not intended to impose restrictions upon designs or materials which conform to the purpose and intent of this standard. A further purpose of this standard is to permit the development of performance-type specifications by the purchaser of pedestrian signal heads.
