Abstract

Through comparison analysis between dynamic numerical simulation result for vehicle and curved concrete barriers crash and field vehicle full scale crash tests, accuracy of dynamic numerical simulation results was verified through three aspects. The influence of curved concrete barriers curve radius on impact acceleration in process of occupant crash was analyzed. Barriers type of curved rail has great influence on occupant safety in crash. The worst barrier radius for occupant risk was got. The results show that finite element simulation is an effective method for vehicle and barriers crash research.
