Abstract

Study on drivers' reaction time in the traffic accident has attracted great attention of scholars on driving reliability and causes of accidents. By data collection through questionnaires and some static indexes of drivers, such as depth perception, attention centrality and attention assignment, as well as drivers' reaction time collected by using the driving simulator, the linearity regression model of drivers' reaction time has been constructed. Validity of the model can be checked up. It can be concluded that, at 95% confidence level, it reveals a linear relation between forenamed factors and reaction time. Qualification rate of the prediction is 79%. More attention should be paid on stochastic factors in the environment than ever as well as factors such as drivers' psychological state, driving experience, and age. This paper has offered an effective way to study drivers' reaction behavior in emergency.
