Abstract

In order to improve air conditioner performance, newer vehicles have started including a recirculation switch that allows them to shut off outside air. This can potentially impact the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration that builds up in the cabin. This article explores the impact of CO2 and cabin air quality on passenger comfort and on vehicle crashes.
