Abstract

Travel time messaging on dynamic message signs is an effective way to provide traveler information in cities or along corridors that experience traffic congestion or traffic unreliability. Customer feedback for travel time messaging has been overwhelmingly positive, especially when the alternatives are blank signs or generic messages.
